It is important to note that an arrest should not be considered as evidence of guilt. The defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Derrick Crayton, 51, of Taylor, at 7:15 p.m., in the 300 block of E.
Eighth St., officers responded to a report of a wanted person. Officers made contact with Crayton, who had an outstanding warrant out of Williamson County for bond forfeiture-possession of controlled substance, penalty group 1, over 1 gram, a third-degree felony.
Crayton was arrested for the warrant. Crayton was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and was further charged with possession of controlled substance, penalty group 1, over 4 grams, a second-degree felony. Crayton is still in custody at the Williamson County.
OCT. 7
Joshua Blue, 20, of Taylor, at 11:54 a.m., at the T-Mobile Store, 3605 N. Main St., officers responded to a report of a stolen phone. An investigation revealed Blue took the phone from the store without paying. Blue was later found, arrested and charged with theft over $750, a class A misdemeanor. Blue was also found to be in possession of Tetradydrocannabinol (THC). Blue was further charged with possession of controlled substance, penalty group 2, less than one gram, a state jail felony.
The charges were dismissed/ declined, and Blue was released Oct. 8.
