HUTTO – The Hutto City Council recognized National Customer Service Week at the Oct. 6 council meeting.

City Manager James Earp noted there are some city departments people quickly think of when it comes to customer service.

“Municipal court and utility billing are high on that list,” Earp said. “And while the amazing work those teams do is absolutely essential . . . everyone who wears a Hutto logo or badge and engages directly with the public is in the business of customer service.”

Earp reminded the public and representatives from several city departments about that responsibility. Whether it’s the librarian, groundskeeper, communication specialist, meter technician, or animal control officer, no single city department bears the responsibility for customer service.

“Customer service lives in the hearts of those who choose to call Hutto their preferred employer,” Earp said.
