In a land of plenty, empty bowls are a reminder that food insecurity is still never far off.

Families, friends and neighbors connected with each other Oct. 8 in Potters Alley to enjoy live music and pick out a beautiful hand-made bowls as part of Art Off Center’s Empty Bowl FUNdraiser Saturday, Oct. 8 in Potter’s Alley in support of Shepherd’s Heart Food Pantry & Community Ministries.

The event, which celebrated its fifth year in Taylor this year, was launched to support the pantry’s mission to provide basic assistance with food, clothing and emergency shelter to area people in need.
