The St. Mary’s Rams traveled to Buckholts to play a public school and the Buckholts Badgers picking up a dominating 68 - 20 win.

The victory gave the Rams their second win in two weeks and moved the Rams to a 3 -3 season record.

The offensive output was shared by several Rams Friday night on the road. Sophomore Kolbe Barta passed for two touchdowns to senior Andrew Flores. That was Flores’ first two touchdowns of the season and the Rams • page 5

celebrated with the senior in big fashion on the sideline and after the game.

Senior Ryan Altman had another impressive night with four rushing touchdowns, followed by sophomore Ethan Lively with two rushing touchdowns. Freshman Steven Reyes added another touchdown on the ground and the extra point kicker Gabe Maldonado made seven of eight attempts for 14 points. The offensive unit had many downfield blocks that helped set up scoring drives.

The defense had a strong night with solid team tackling and multiple turnovers on downs. Rams head coach Rick Cobia said all of the kids gave tremendous effort throughout the entire game. Linebackers, junior Brady Altman and freshman Mark Aleman had big hits in the middle of the field. Defensive ends, sophomore Peairson DeHoyos and senior Andrew Flores all contributed defensively to help slow down the Badgers offense. The Rams will play at home this Friday, Oct. 14, at Taylor Memorial Field at 7:00 p.m. against Waco Methodist Children’s Home.
