Choir director honored

One of the special moments of Homecoming 2022 was the reunion of the 1969-1970 Taylor High School Choir and their director, William Kretzmeier. While in high school, this choir of 53 students recorded an album of 16 songs entitled Artistry in Sound.

One of the special moments of Homecoming 2022 was the reunion of the 1969-1970 Taylor High School Choir and their director, William Kretzmeier. While in high school, this choir of 53 students recorded an album of 16 songs entitled Artistry in Sound.

The special homecoming reunion included a performance of the album’s benediction song, The Lord Bless You and Keep You by Peter C. Lutkin. As noted on the album cover, this selection had been the choir’s special song that year, ending every performance with the singing of this song.

At the conclusion of the homecoming performance, choir members presented Kretzmeier with a framed copy of the words and music for their special song.
