Local love

Every time I am at Good Strangers, I feel like home. And I can tell other people sitting there chatting with their friends feel the same. It’s a great place to meet or just to pause. The locally roasted coffee is my favorite of course but overall, it’s the loving environment that always brings me back.

Shoutouts to my former coworkers for keeping this place warm, bright and welcoming.

I have not been the only person feeling the warmth from locals.

Tracy Winters Roman posted to the Good News Taylor Made Facebook page about two local companies she dealt with recently.

“Y’all, I got to do business with two of my favorite companies today. First, I went and got a really overdue oil change at Good Ol’ Fashioned Oil & Lube. Mark and the gang were as great as they always are. Then, Tyler Dennen, with ProTouch, came by the house and did a small job for us. He is always dependable and does excellent work. Very personable, reasonable pricing, and talks with you, not down to you.” Dru Buuck also posted about an experience at a local restaurant.

“Had lunch with ten ladies at Applebee’s and it was on point. Great service and great food.”

Rick Early shared experiences about places he frequents for breakfast and how great the people are.

“Just made a breakfast run. All out donut mix from Taylor Donuts 95 here in town, (my favorite Vietnamese people who used to be my neighbors that we absolutely love), and five of the absolute, most delicious breakfast Tacos you’ve ever seen or eaten from Rojas here in Taylor over the bridge on MLK . . . Been going there for years and I love them dearly.”

This just goes to show that kindness comes in all forms, including great service.
