This Wednesday, there’s a chance to study courses before studying in the courses.
On Jan. 12, Taylor Middle School and Taylor High School will host a course and electives expo for the graduating classes of 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026, the current grades 8-11. This is an opportunity for students and parents to come and receive more information about the classes offered at Taylor High School.
During the school day, middle school students will have the opportunity to visit with representatives from each program at Taylor Middle School
The evening Expo will be at Taylor High School from 6 to 8 p.m. Counselors, teachers, fine arts, organization sponsors and coaches will be available to answer questions. Students and their parents will go to the foyer and cafeteria where they can find out more information about the programs offered.
Programs that will be available that night from dual credit course offerings include
Temple College, Texas State Technical College and Texas Bioscience Institute.
Career and Technology Programs of Study include automotive and diesel, culinary arts,
digital media, business management, animal science, floral design, welding, plumbing, robotics/advanced manufacturing, cybersecurity and engineering.
Fine Arts electives will include band and color guard, dance and high steppers, choir, and theater arts and drama.
Extracurricular activities will include athletics, cheer, silver cord which is a volunteer service organization, academic decathlon, American sign language club, art club, Spanish club and Future Farmers of America (FFA).
Information will also be available for advanced placement course offerings.
