There will be food, games and more in the Davilla community early next month.

On Saturday, Oct. 1, the sixth annual Davilla Community Center Fall Fest will take place from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Davilla Community Center at 20803 FM 487 in Davilla.

The Fall Fest will feature a fireworks display as well as games such as a ring toss, fish pond, cake walk, bean bag toss, hayride, bounce house and petting zoo. Food and drinks available include sausage wraps, pulled pork sandwiches, chips, soda, water, pie, brownies and cookies.

There will be a silent auction and a raffle. Prizes include a handmade Texas flag quilt, gift baskets and more.

Davilla is located just outside of Williamson County in western Milam County. The town is located north northeast of Thrall and the communities of Sandoval, Hare and Laneport.

Local residents have several route options, although the most direct route would be to travel east on U.S. 79 through part of Thorndale, turn left onto North Broadway Street, drive until the road ends at Moerbe Street and turn right, drive on what then becomes FM 486 out of Thorndale and then to and through the San Gabriel community, turn north onto FM 3061, drive until the road ends at FM 487 and then turn left to Davilla.
