Music on Main

Thursday, Sept. 15 — The Public Arts Advisory Board and Bogle Family Vineyards will kick off the fall season of the Music on Main concert series with Latin band Money Chica at 7 p.m at Heritage Square. This event is free and family friendly.

MSI Open House

Thursday, Sept. 15 — Main Street Intermediate School will host an open house at its campus for all families to learn about the routines and procedures at the school. The open house will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Fruit Growers Forum

Friday, Sept. 16 — The Williamson County AgriLife Extension Service will offer a Fruit Growers Forum for commercial growers and hobby gardeners alike with a variety of topics with local experts.

The program is $35 with lunch included and will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Dickey-Givens Community Center, 260 S. Dolan Street, in Taylor, TX 76574. For more information, call the Williamson County Extension Office for more information at 512-943-3300.

Mamma Jamma Ride

Saturday, Sept. 17 — The 2022 Texas Mamma Jamma Ride will begin at 8 a.m. at Heritage Square on Saturday, Sept.

17 to raise funds in support of Lone Star Circle of Care’s Big Pink Bus, which brings affordable mobile mammogram services to low-income and underserved women in the region. This family-friendly event will also feature local food, beer, and live music. For more information, or to register for the event, go to mammajammaride.org.

KidFish

Saturday, Sept. 17 — The City of Taylor Parks & Recreation department will host the 2022 KidFish at Bull Branch Park.

Trophies will be awarded for First and Second places in all three age groups, including six and under, seven to 11, as well as 12-16. Registration begins at 8 a.m., and fishing begins at 9 a.m.

Thrall Street Dance

Saturday, Sept. 17 — The Thrall Volunteer Fire Department will host a community fundraiser in the form of a street dance on Main Street in Thrall from 6 p.m. to midnight. There will be food by Thrall Country Diner, beer and other beverages.

A silent auction and kid games will also be featured. Live music will be by Kenny Orts and The No Chance Band. All proceeds go to benefit the VFD’s hall renovations.
