Pickleball group donates to Taylor

A local sports group has showed their appreciation to the city.

On Jan. 13, the Taylor Pickleball group presented a check of $1,350 to the Taylor City Council donation was made during their regularly scheduled meeting.

“These funds were earned at our most recent tournament, which was in November,” said Brenda Cox, Taylor Pickleball member. “We would like to present the check to the city and work together in the future in partnership for the improvement of the pickleball courts and facilities and your support in that endeavor.

Pickleball is played with paddles and whiffle balls on a badminton-sized court and a tennis-style net.
