TAYLOR POLICE DEPARTMENT ARREST REPORT

AUG. 23

Kevin Riley, 40, of Taylor, at 7:25 p.m., in the 700 block of Carlos Parker Blvd. NW, officers arrested Riley and charged him with driving while intoxicated, third or more offense, a third-degree felony.

Brittany Sarmiento, 28, Cynthia Alderete, 32, and Jastin Smith, 34, of Taylor, at 3:18 a.m., in the 100 block of E. Rio Grande St., officers responded to a report of a person with a gun. An investigation revealed Sarmiento and Smith, both of whom had prior felony convictions, were both in possession of firearms. Sarmiento and Smith were both arrested and charged with unlawful possession of firearm by felon, a third-degree felony.

Alderete was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and was placed under arrest, charged with possession of controlled substance, penalty group 1, less than 1 gram, a state jail felony.

Sarmiento is still in custody at the Williamson County Jail on bonds that total $43,000.

Charges against Alderete were dismissed/declined and she was released the same day. Smith posted bond for $25,000 and was released Aug. 28.

AUG. 24

Anthony Tanksley, 35, of Taylor, at 11:59 p.m., officers learned that Tanksley had been arrested by another agency for an outstanding for assault-strangulation/family violence, a third-degree felony. Tanksley is still in custody at the Williamson County Jail on bonds that total $445,000.

Reynaldo Garza, 17, of Taylor, at 9:03 a.m., at Taylor High School, 355 FM 973, the school resource officers made contact with Garza, who was found to be in possession of Tetrahydrocannabinols (THC). Garza was arrested and charged with possession of controlled substance, penalty group 2 over 4 grams in a school zone, a second-degree felony. Garza received a PR bond for $15,000 and was released Aug. 25.

AUG. 25

Carl Hattley, 60, of Taylor, at 10:51 p.m., in the 100 block of Howard St., officers conducted a traffic stop on Hattley, who had two outstanding warrants out of Round Rock, both warrants were for larceny, a state jail felony. Hattley was arrested for the warrants.

Hattley is still in custody at the Williamson County Jail on a $25,000 bond.

AUG. 26

Jessie Herrera, 39, of Taylor, at 4:59 a.m., officers learned that Herrera had been arrested by another agency for an outstanding warrant for assault with injury/family violence with previous conviction, a second-degree felony.

Herrera is still in custody at the Williamson County Jail on bonds that total $25,542.

AUG. 27

Josef Segura, 17, of Taylor, at 10:13 p.m., in the 10,000 block of Chandler Rd. officers conducted a traffic stop on Segura, who was found to be in possession of a firearm and an open container of alcohol. Segura was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of firearm, a class A misdemeanor, as well as driving under the influence, a class C misdemeanor. Segura received PR bonds that total $9,000 and he was released the same day.

Alexi Garza, 27, of Taylor, at 1:02 a.m., in the 12,400 block of U.S. Hwy 79. officers arrested Garza and charged her with driving while intoxicated, a class B misdemeanor. Garza posted bond for $40,000 and was released the same day.
