The economic future of Taylor just got brighter.
Samsung Austin Semiconductor will host a Samsung Taylor Site Job Fair from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and tomorrow at the Williamson County Expo Center, 5350 Bill Pickett Trail, in Taylor.
“We encourage everyone to come out and learn about the opportunities,” said Michele Glaze, spokesperson for Samsung. “We think there will be something for those who are interested in those types of jobs and subcontracting opportunities.”
On Wednesday, the fair will focus on subcontracting opportunities in construction. Participants can meet representatives from companies such as Samsung E&C America, Hensel Phelps, Coreslab Structures, Epcor and more to learn about opportunities that range from facility maintenance, cleaning services and HVAC, to electrical, general labor and contracting as well as field office administration and much more. feature opportunities for direct, indirect and temporary jobs. Representatives will be on hand from Samsung Austin Semiconductor, Samsung E&C America and a range of other companies to discuss the myriad openings in maintenance, purchasing, mechanical, safety management, welding and much more. Glaze said the pay rates for opportunities featured both days were not yet available; however, company officials promise a bright future for Taylor and the surrounding areas.
