Band and color guard beat the heat
Last school year, the Taylor High School Band and Color Guard began a new tradition. They invited the local fire department to visit on their last day of summer camp to provide a cool and rewarding spray of water to dedicated guard and band members after practicing in the August heat.
The tradition continued this year as Chief Daniel Baum and the Taylor Fire Department returned to spray water in the air for the kids, directors and parents to enjoy after three weeks in 100 plus degree heat. Everyone reported that it was a much appreciated and wonderful experience.
