The St. Mary’s Catholic Church and School will host their 88th annual St. Mary’s Community Fall Festival Homecoming Celebration Sunday, Sept. 11 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This will be the third year that the festival will be held on the church and school grounds. The gym will serve as the perfect place for a live and silent auction.

Mouthwatering barbecue brisket prepared by Pete’s BBQ and sausage prepared by Mikeska Brands will be accompanied by sides for the meal. Tickets are available for the meal at the church and school offices.

Various ministries of the church will be helping with different booths. The Catholic Daughters will head up the cake walk with homemade cakes. The ladies of the KJZT Family Life, will run the country store featuring wonderful handmade items, jams and baked goods.

The St. Mary’s Knights of Columbus will make sure no one is thirsty by running the beer garden. Ed Kopecky and his band will provide entertainment with their upbeat polka music from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Scooter Dubec and Sterling Country will play from 2 p.m.

The concessions will be operated by school parents and parishioners including fajitas, chicken flautas, popcorn and snow cones.

Children can enjoy games such as the ever-popular ring toss and toy walk. The fan favorite dunking booth will include various teachers and coaches from the school, along with Father John Kim.
