The Taylor Ducks football team inched closer to regular season games after participating in a joint practice with the C.H. Yoe Yoemen that ended with a scrimmage.

The Ducks tied the Yoemen 7-7 in a scrimmage on Friday Aug. 12 at C.H. Yoe High School.

The practice session before the live quarter scrimmage had the teams still going head-to-head for three rounds of 10 plays each. Then offensive possession switched.

RAMS READY TO ROCK

The St. Mary’s Rams are ramping up to the start of their second season in 6-on-6 football with a scrimmage on Saturday Aug. 13 at Memorial Field in Taylor.

The Rams scrimmaged the Concordia Cardinals where the score was not kept, and the players were able to get used to playing a contact sport again.

The Rams want to improve from their inaugural football season this upcoming season. The Rams showed a lot of improvement in the scrimmage from last season to now, according to Rams head coach Rick Cobia.
