The Woman’s Study Club ended its 2021-22 year with two outstanding programs.

In April, Mayor Brandt Rydell was the guest speaker. He informed the club members of the many changes transpiring in the city and of future planned changes and improvements and fielded questions from the group. The club reports that he was well received and that members appreciated him taking time to keep them abreast of current and future projects.

In May, Michelle Glaze, Samsung Austin Semiconductor community liason, was the guest speaker. She shared the news of how the building site was being prepared and what the Samsung project will look like when completed. She also informed the members of the potential many benefits to the Taylor community that “will be realized by the philanthropic nature of the company and by the many jobs that will be created now and in the future,” reported the club of Glaze’s speech.

Outgoing president Rosemary B. Hauser presented her executive committee with roses and thanked them for helping to keep the Woman’s Study Club together throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

The group will convene again in October to start the 2022-23 season under the leadership of incoming president Eloise Brackenridge.
