HUTTO – Matt Wojnowski, Hutto assistant city manager, has earned a prestigious designation that will further enhance his ability to lead Hutto staff and serve Hutto taxpayers.

Wojnowski recently received the Credentialed Manager designation from ICMA, the International City/County Management Association. Only one in every 20 members of ICMA have earned this credential, setting apart Wojnowski from other talented professionals in government management.

To receive this esteemed credential, Wojnowski had to build significant experience as a senior management executive in local government; earn a master’s degree in public administration; and demonstrate a commitment to high standards of integrity as well as to lifelong learning and professional development.

The achievement is in line with the city’s pillar (or goal) of “Collaboration for Operational Excellence and Efficiency.” The city supports the growth and training of its employees as they seek ways to enhance their competencies.

“The ICMA credentialed manager is one of the premiere credentials in the field of public administration, and I am proud that Matt brings that accomplishment to team Hutto,” shared Hutto City Manager James Earp.

Prior to his hiring last summer as assistant city manager in Hutto, Mr. Wojnowski served as the city manager of Del Rio, Texas; assistant city manager in Altus, Oklahoma; and assistant to the city manager in other communities. He also made considerable contributions to several organizations including ICMA, Texas City Manager Association (TCMA), City Manager Association of Oklahoma (CMAO), Kiwanis International and Rotary International.
