Patricia Ann Stanley

Patricia Ann Stanley, 92, of Taylor, passed away Friday July 29, 2022, in Round Rock, following a brief illness. Patricia (Pat) was born June 12, 1930, in Dallas, to Henry David and Charlotte (Walker) Grove.

Patricia Ann Stanley, 92, of Taylor, passed away Friday July 29, 2022, in Round Rock, following a brief illness.

Patricia (Pat) was born June 12, 1930, in Dallas, to Henry David and Charlotte (Walker) Grove. She had one older sister, Jacqueline Cares, who preceded her in death.

After graduating from Bay City High school, Patricia briefly attended Sam Houston State University. After marrying her first husband J.B. Hamilton, they had five children together, Richard, Randy, Cheryl, Kevin and Roger.

Patricia went on to marry Melvin Stanley in 1987 and have been happily married for 35 years. Melvin Stanley had three children, Bobby, Jimmy and Kathy, that Patricia was also very close to and enjoyed being stepmother to. Patricia was an especially loving mother to her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a devoted wife and Christian.

Patricia and Melvin were members of the Memorial Baptist Church of Taylor and have resided in Taylor for 28 years. She and Melvin were well known in the Baptist community of Taylor and Patricia loved going to church.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, sister and two stepsons.

Patricia is survived by her loving husband, Melvin; children, Richard (Janie) Hamilton, Randy Hamilton, Cheryl Mazur (Jeff Baker), Kevin Hamilton, Roger Hamilton; stepdaughter, Kathy Stanley; 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren (one due soon) and niece Elizabeth Heim.

Visitation will be held Friday, Aug. 5, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Providence Funeral Home. A life celebration service will be held Saturday, Aug. 6, at 10 a.m. at Providence Funeral Home.

Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Elgin.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Memorial Baptist Church of Taylor in her honor.
