There will be food, dances, games and items to bid next month in Granger.
On Sept. 4, SS Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church will hold the Granger, Texas Annual Bazaar from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. The event will be at the parish hall, 500 West Davilla St., and prefaced by a Mass at 10 a.m. at the church, 100 N. Brazos. St.
Food includes premade takeout plates of barbecue and sausage with dressing and trimmings for $15. Barbecue food by the pound can be bought at the pit at 7 a.m., then dine-in begins at 11 a.m. Drive-thru service twill be 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or until sold out. The kitchen will remain open through 9 p.m.
Fun, fellowship and games will begin at noon with activities such as a cake walk, ring toss for sodas, a toy booth and a fish pond. A prize Bingo will be from 1:30 to 4 p.m.
A live auction will be conducted by Buddy Johnson at 1:30 p.m. Payment can be by cash, check or credit card.
Dancing will help close out the day from 6 to 10 p.m. Music will be by Fritz Hodde and Fabulous Six. Cost for entry is $10.
