Granger neighborhoods will be out of water most of the next two days in what's expected to be the final step in a summer-long project.
Water will be shut off Wednesday and Thursday, Aug. 3-4, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the northeast side of the city. The section includes residents north of Davilla Street and east of S.H 95. Water will be available overnight.
The city has recently experienced water outages since Granger’s community development block grant water valve project kicked off June 22. Water valves have been added throughout the city’s water system to help city staff isolate smaller portions of the water system during water repair efforts.
After service is restored, there will be a boil water notice until water is deemed safe to drink per lab results.
