Here are some upcoming meetings at Taylor Independent School District.
Meet the Principals
Taylor ISD invites all students and their families to meet the principals prior to the start of the 2022-23 school year. All six principals will be available for a meet and greet Aug. 2 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Taylor ISD Event Center, located at 3101 North Main St.
Principals for the new school year are Andy Basche, T.H. Johnson Elementary School, prekindergarten through first grade; Felicia Gibson, Naomi Pasemann Elementary School, grades 2-4; Kerri Pierce, Main Street Intermediate School, fifth grade; Steven Vigil, Taylor Middle School, grades 6-8; Matthew Wamble, Taylor High School; and Erika Elizondo, Legacy Early College High School.
Meet the Teacher
Elementary students in Taylor ISD will have the opportunity of meeting their teachers on Aug 11. T.H. Johnson will host families from 5 to 6:30 p.m., Pasemann from 5:30 to 7 p.m. and MSI teachers will meet their students from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Open House
Taylor ISD invites all families to an open house after school starts to learn about the routines and procedures at each campus. Schools will host families from 6 to 7:30 p.m. according to the following schedule: T.H. Johnson Elementary on Sept. 8, Pasemann Elementary on Sept 13, Main Street Intermediate on Sept. 15, Taylor Middle School on Sept. 20, Taylor High School on Sept. 22, and Legacy Early College High School on Sept. 27.
Registration
All returning students, new students and transfer students must complete registration before the first day of school. Parents of returning students as asked to verify and update information while new and transfer students are required to complete the necessary forms. Online registration is now open at http://www.taylorisd. org.
For families needing assistance, Taylor ISD will host two in-person registration events at the Main Street Event Center, located at 3101 North Main St. The first event is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 4, from 4 to 8 p.m., and the second event is on Friday, Aug. 5, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
In addition to campus personnel, representatives from transportation, child nutrition and technology will be available to answer questions. A list of documents to bring may be found at http://www.taylorisd. org.
