Mary Raesz Moczyogemba was born Nov. 2, 1924, in Taylor, to Oscar and Augusta Raesz. She passed away July 8, 2022.
She had two sisters and four brothers. Mary married Cid Jernigan and they had three daughters. She divorced Cid and lived in Austin, for many years where she raised her daughters and worked as a floral designer.
She never told her girls that “girls can’t do that,” and they live believing they can do anything. In 1965, she married Bill Dugger. Mary and Bill retired in 1973 and moved to Elgin.
They traveled and spent happy days at the Sandarosa. Mary moved to Taylor after Bill passed away in 1995.
In her 70s she was blessed to meet Archie Moczygemba and they married in 1999. Mary and Archie traveled and spent time in the casinos. Time at home was filled with gardening, dominoes, crocheting and quilting. She loved playing Skip-Bo and Uno with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, always playing very competitively.
She loved spending time with her sisters in love, Lorene and Bonnie.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Augusta Raesz; her granddaughter, Amanda; her sisters, Tillie and Elizabeth; and brothers Louis, David and Edward.
Mary leaves behind her loving husband, Archie; daughters, Patti Williams (husband David), Gerri Wallingford and Debbie Burkhard (husband Bart). She had nine grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She had five stepchildren, Bill, Carol, Richard, Jerry and Jimmy Moczygemba; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her loving brother Oscar Raesz. Mary had numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and friends. She adored them all.
