*Cowboys saddled up for the 72 nd annual rodeo this past July 14-16 at the Williamson County Expo Center.*

The 72nd annual Taylor rodeo is in the books. The event featured three nights of nonstop action-packed entertainment on July 14-16, at the Williamson County Expo Center.

Top winners at this year’s rodeo included Payton Lackey who scored an 82 in bareback , Callie Albrecht in barrel racing with a time of 15.91, Sarah Angelone in break away roping with a time of 2.13. J.B. Collins had the fastest calf roping time with 7.8 seconds. Dalton Kingery scored an 81 in the saddle bronc competition. Boyd Sawyer took first in the steer wrestling event with a time of 4.1. Sam Miller finished with a 4.21 time in team roping.

The Lonestar Cowgirls kicked off each night of the 72 nd annual Taylor rodeo events with their impressive performance.

Calf roping was just one of the thrilling events at the 72 nd annual Taylor rodeo featured July 14-16.

Thrall’s Dawson Solis put on a show before a hometown crowd as a bull fighter on all three nights of the rodeo.

Mutton busting showcased children riders from all around and served as one the most exciting events at this year’s rodeo.

Steer wrestling, also known as bulldogging, featured cowboys in the traditional Bil Pickett-inspired competition.

The rodeo featured entertainment for all ages with kids in the arena with the bullfighters on Saturday, July 16.

Vendors of food and merchandise filled the Williamson County expo Center July 14-16 for the 72 nd annual Taylor rodeo.

Broncs were in full bronc mode at the Taylor rodeo this year sending cowboys for a thrill ride.
