“No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.”
— Aesop
We received a lot of submissions this week. All wonderful acts of kindness.
Thank you for your service
I just wanted to say I was in Walmart with my husband, who wears a dessert storm hat because he was there and served and now is disabled, and this employee, I regretfully didn’t get his name but, he was pushing products to the back.
He stopped what he was doing and extended his hand to my husband and said “Thank you for your service, sir.” He stopped everything he was doing to do that.
I can’t tell you how much that was appreciated. I wish I has got his name. What a awesome respectful employee.
Thank you. Some of our service members suffer from PTSD, and when you thank them, it means the world to them.

Karch Music
As you all know, I like to give credit where credit is due for our local businesses and merchants.
I’ve spoken of him before, but I just wanted to provide kudos to Clay Karch, of Karch Music, here in Taylor. This guy knows his stuff and is one of the nicest, most personable and knowledgeable guys regarding guitars and musical instruments I’ve ever done business with.
I’ve now taken four of my guitars up to him for various reasons, and he’s on it and does a fantastic job at very reasonable prices. Not only that, but he takes the time to talk to you to find out exactly what you need.
I understand that he also does a lot of stuff for the local band kids and those type needs.
I encourage you to visit Clay at Karch Music here in Taylor. He is a great asset to our community for all our musicians and your music needs.

Reasons to brag
My husband isn’t going to be happy I’m posting this.
Tonight, we were at Walmart and as we were checking out, we overheard this young guy’s conversation with the cashier. He said, “I worked all summer long. So, I told my mom she didn’t have to spend a dime on my school supplies this year.” Next thing I know, my husband is shaking this guy’s hand and paying for his school supplies.
Alan has always valued hard work and he encouraged this guy to continue doing what he was doing, and his future could go anywhere he wanted to take it.
I didn’t want to post this just to brag on my husband. But also to brag on this young guy! In a world where we are so quick to “share” the bad things going on, I thought this was just the kind of goodness I needed to see.

Shoutout
Shout out to Taylor Public Works.
Called them this afternoon because of a water leak at our house. Quick response, determined it was on their side and worked hard to fix it. They just left. Did a great job.
Just because it’s their job, doesn’t mean they don’t deserve a big thank you.
