TAYLOR POLICE DEPARTMENT ARREST REPORT

JULY 5

Damarcus Caruther, 23, and Ronald Scott, Jr., 38, of Taylor, at 1:21 a.m., in the 1600 block of E. Walnut St., officers responded to a business alarm. An investigation revealed Caruther and Scott both entered the premises without permission. Scott was arrested for two outstanding warrants out of Williamson County for illegal dumping, a class A misdemeanor. Caruther and Scott were arrested and charged with criminal trespass, a class B misdemeanor. Caruther posted bond for $4,000 and was released July 6. Scott received a surety bond for $8,000, which was dismissed/declined, and he was released July 6.

Gary Ross, 57, of Taylor, at 7:41 p.m., in the 300 block of W. Pecan St. officers responded to a report of a stolen phone. An investigation revealed Ross stole the phone in question. Ross was arrested and charged with theft of property over $100, a class A misdemeanor. Ross is still in custody at the Williamson County Jail on a $1,000 bond.

JULY 6

Eliza Oranday, 22, of Taylor, at 4:47 a.m., in the 1300 block of Sloan St., officers apprehended Oranday, who had an outstanding warrant for assault with injury/family violence, a class A misdemeanor. Oranday posted bond for $2,000 and was released July 8.

Fermin Mata, 26, of Taylor, at 11:59 p.m., in the 2000 block of W. Second St., officers responded to a report of an unwanted person with a previous criminal trespass warning against him, barring him from the property. Officers made contact with Mata and attempted to arrest him. Mata physically resisted officer’s attempts. Mata was arrested and charged with criminal trespass, a class B misdemeanor, as well as resisting arrest, a class A misdemeanor. The criminal trespass charge was dismissed/declined, and he was released July 13.

JULY 9

Yoan Morera, 42, of Taylor, at 4:52 p.m., 1700 block of Main St. officers apprehended Morera, who had an outstanding warrant for assault with injury/ family violence, a class A misdemeanor. Morera paid a fine for $465 and posted bond for $4,000 and was released July 10.
