Carol Beckman-Symmank (Ebelt) was born March 19, 1947, to Walter and Elfredia Ebelt of Thrall. She passed away peacefully in her home Wednesday, June 22, 2022, in Austin.

Carol grew up in a small rural town in east Texas with her siblings where she loved to help her father harvest in the fields, sing western music while her brother, Curtis, played the guitar and help her mother with canning the bounty from their garden. She married the late Milton Beckman in 1966, and had her daughter, Robyn, in 1969 before divorcing in 1985.

She later remarried Jerry Symmank in 1994, who went on to pass due to cancer two years after. In her later years, she retired from the State of Texas after 25 years of service working as a purchasing agent, allowing her to spend plenty of quality time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, playing board games and snuggling close. She was preceded in death by her parents, her four siblings and her late husband, Jerry Symmank.

Carol is survived by her daughter, Robyn Beckman-Brown; grandson, Colton Brown; granddaughter, Destiny; grandson-in-law Shelby Noles; great-grandchildren June and Wayland; two nephews and a niece.

A funeral service will be Friday, July 22, at 2 p.m. at Parkview Bible Church, 303 E. Pflugerville Parkway in Pflugerville.
