Albert Ray Garcia Jr., of Killeen, formerly of Taylor, passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at the age of 49.
He was born June 2, 1973, in Taylor, to Esther and Albert Ray Garcia Sr.
Albert Jr. graduated from Taylor High School in 1991. Soon after, he joined the U.S. Marine Corps and served from 1993 to 1997.
While performing various jobs, Albert Jr. built long lasting relationships with his kind and warm soul. His hobbies included freestyling on his bike as a youth, weightlifting, tinkering with electronics, carpentry, watching movies and listening to his music.
Albert Jr. was preceded in death by his mother; grandparents, Joe H. and Jovita Alderete and Gilberto and Crescencia Arrellano.
He is survived by his father, Albert Sr.; son, Christopher Rodriguez and wife Mariah; twin daughters, Raven and Elena Garcia; grandchildren, Daniel and Chloe; twin sister, Lisa Rivera and husband Sal; sister, Lori Jackson and husband Brian; nieces, Madelyn, Kathryn and Bria; nephews, Nick, Isaac and Braylon; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, July 13, at 1 p.m. at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.
All family and friends, please join us for a memorial service and celebration of Albert Jr’s. life Saturday, July 16, at 2 p.m. at American Legion Post 39, 1310 Sycamore St., in Taylor.
Albert Jr. will always be remembered by those who love him for his contagious smile and laugh and his warm heart.
