Don’t forget to be awesome

“Our job is to love others without stopping to inquire whether or not they are worthy. That is not our business and, in fact, it is nobody’s business. What we are asked to do is to love, and this love itself will render both ourselves and our neighbors worthy.”

A heartfelt thank you to the gentleman who dropped off our package that showed as delivered yesterday but wasn’t at our house. Today, someone brought it to our home and left it on the bench for us. I wasn’t home and couldn’t thank you in person but please know your kindness is appreciated.

For the Legion

Congratulations to these young men and women in the picture accompanying this column for attending Boys and Girls State and represented our American Legion. Each of them explained to our members what the week meant to them.

We are so glad and proud to have you talk to our members. Have a great summer and senior year!

— American Legion Graham D. Luhn Post 39
