Friday will be another hot day in Taylor and the surrounding area.
The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Heat Advisory for Williamson County for July 8 from noon to 8 p.m. Triple-digit temperatures are expected to return along the I-35 corridor and throughout the Hill Country and Coastal Plains.
"Temperatures will reach up to 104 degrees and heat indices will reach 108," said the NWS Austin/San Antonio Office. "Try avoid outdoor activities and stay hydrated."
In Taylor specifically, the Taylor Texas Weather Network forecasts a high of 100 degrees and heat index up to 105. A hotter weekend is expected as highs for Saturday through Tuesday, July 9-12, are projected to be anywhere from 100 to degrees. Temperatures might stay in the upper 90s Wednesday, July 13. Meanwhile, lows are expected in the upper 70s heading into the middle of next week.
Rain possibilities remain slim to none in the next seven days. However, a 20% chance of rain and thunderstorms are in the forecast Sunday and next Wednesday.
