HERITAGE SQUARE FARMERS MARKET

GRANGER FARMERS MARKET

Fresh fruits, vegetables, jelly, canned and baked goods, eggs, artisan crafts and more will be at the Granger Main Street Farmers Market on the first and third Saturdays from April through October from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the corner of W. Davilla and Walton streets in Granger.

THIRD THURSDAY

Every third Thursday of the month, Taylor’s downtown businesses will be open past 5 until 8 p.m. and offer in-store specials, live music, door prizes and other activities. The event is designed to encourage residents to shop locally and become familiar with the shops in the downtown area.

AMERICAN LEGION POST 39

American Legion Graham D Luhn Post 39 holds monthly meetings on the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at its post building at 1310 Sycamore St. within Murphy Park in Taylor. WEIGHT LOSS GROUP

The Taylor Take Off Pounds Sensibly Chapter 1343 will have inperson meetings of their weightloss support group Thursdays at 4:30 p.m. at Grace Place, 301 Grace Lane in Taylor. Members are recommitting to continuance of their health journeys and invite others who’ve struggled with their weight to join them at the meeting. Attendees should use the office entrance to Grace Place.

SENIOR BINGO

Enjoy Bingo with seniors every Wednesday at The Tripp Center, 1517 McLain St. near Mills Lane in Taylor, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. People are encouraged to bring one or two prizes.

BASKETBALL IN THE PARK

Tuesdays and Thursdays, June 7-July 28 — Basketball, dodgeball, arts and crafts, and food will be at Fannie Robinson Park, 260 S. Dolan St., 7-9 p.m. twice a week. TAYLOR 4TH OF JULY PARADE & FIREWORKS

Monday, July 4 — American Legion Graham D. Luhn Post 39 will host its annual Independence Day parade at 9 a.m., which will begin at Old Taylor High, 410 W 7th St., head north on Davis Street, turn right on Lake Drive and then right into Murphy Park, 1600 Veteran’s Dr. in Taylor. Fun afterward in the park includes food trucks, an ice cream social, live music starting at 7 p.m. and fireworks after sunset. Park amenities such as the pool, tennis and basketball courts, playgrounds and more will be open.

HUTTO FOURTH OF JULY

Monday, July 4 — The City of Hutto’s annual 4th of July Celebration is a free, family-friendly celebration of our nation that features live music, local vendors, food trucks, kids’ activities, a fireworks show and more. Organizers request that attendees RSVP to the event via Facebook, although it is not required. Held at the Brushy Creek Amphitheater, 1001 CR 137, this year’s Celebration is free of charge and scheduled for 5 to 9 p.m. For more information, visit http:// www.brushycreekamp.com and follow the 4th of July Celebration on Facebook.

ROUND ROCK FOURTH OF JULY PARADE

Monday, July 4 — The 2022 Annual Sertoma Independence Day Parade will feature giant helium inflatables, community groups and patriotic spirit. The parade will start at 8:30 a.m. and be 1.5 miles along Mays Street between Mays Crossing and U.S. 79. FRONTIER DAYS ON 4TH OF JULY

Monday, July 4 —Old Settlers Park, 3300 E Palm Valley Blvd off U.S. 79, will have patriotic fun and festivities starting at noon including carnival rides, entertainment, music, Swifty Swine Racing Pigs, vendors and more. GEORGETOWN FOURTH OF JULY Monday, July 4 — The 39th

Monday, July 4 — The 39th annual Sertoma Club Family July 4 Celebration and fireworks display will be held at San Gabriel Park, 445 E Morrow St. in Georgetown. Activities begin at 11 a.m. with a parade from the College Street bridge to the park pavilion. There will be live entertainment from noon to 10:30 p.m., featuring T. Cole and the Austin Party Band. The festival also includes arts and crafts vendors, food vendors including a beer and wine vendor, a petting zoo, classic and antique cars, games, and rides for children and adults. Admission to the event is free, but some activities require fees. Fireworks will be launched from McMaster Athletic Fields at 9:30 p.m. and can be seen from San Gabriel and VFW parks as well as other areas of the city.

Tuesday, July 5— A special Summer Reading Program edition of Story Time will feature “Our Blue Planet” at 10:30 a.m. at the Taylor Public Library, 801 Vance St.

Wednesday, July 6 — Lucas Miller, a singing zoologist, will host a program at 10:30 a.m. at the Taylor Public Library, 801 Vance St.

SEASHELLS

Thursday, July 7 — Taylor Public Library, 801 Vance St., will host seashell stations as a family activity at 4 p.m. To register, call 512-352-3434.

SEWING SATURDAY

Saturday, July 9 — Taylor Public Library, 801 Vance St., will host a sewing program at 10 a.m.

3-ON-3 TOURNAMENT

Saturday and Sunday, July 9-10 — The Taylor Press 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament will be at Taylor Middle School in the morning and through mid-afternoon.
