The next possible manager of Hutto’s municipal government has been narrowed down to four men, and residents can provide input on them.
“We’re pleased to announce that the city of Hutto has narrowed the search for the next city manager to four highly qualified candidates,” said Allison Strupeck, Hutto public information officer. “All Hutto stakeholders, including Hutto residents, staff, businesses and partners, are invited to learn more about the finalists and visit with them in person.”
The candidates are Manuel “Manny” De La Rosa, current San Benito city manager; Richard “Rick Beverlin III, current Leander city manager; Tarron Richardson, current Richmond program and operations manager; and James Earp, current Kyle assistant city manager.
On Wednesday, June 29, the public is welcome to a reception from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. to meet the final candidates for Hutto City Manager. These finalists will be on hand to visit casually with the public in the lobby of Hutto City Hall, 500 W. Live Oak St.
The Hutto City Council wants residents to provide impressions and feedback to contribute to the council’s hiring decision. Input can be provided in writing at the reception or emailed to hr@huttotx. gov no later than noon Thursday, June 30. All input will be compiled and shared with the council members for their consideration.
The city manager’s office supervises the city of Hutto and its employees. Interim City Manager Issac Turner, a former Taylor city manager, currently holds the position.

On Thursday, June 30, the City Council’s final interviews with the candidates will in person at City Hall and streamed online at the city’s website. Interviews are scheduled for 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m.
