Are vitamins helpful?

Frequently I am asked what vitamins should I take? This is a question they can only be answered when there is enough information to back them up. Not everybody needs the same vitamins and supplements, different people with different lifestyles and activity levels require different things. This is why at Atlas Natural Medicine we focus on individual care plans as everybody is different. One person may need Supplements for a specific organ body, body group, or system of the body or somebody else may need just general vitamins. That is why we have been using Standard Process whole food vitamins this provides the body some of the most fundamental nutritional supply that can be used.

Often times people ask, “what is the difference between whole food vitamins and synthetic no vitamins?” The difference is huge, in whole food vitamins they contain the full complex of the Vitamin and not just one aspect of it, for example when you buy synthetic vitamin C it is not the full vitamin C that you were getting rather you are getting ascorbic acid. However, if you purchase whole food vitamin C you will notice that the concentration is much less, but it is the whole vitamin, meaning everything that you need in order to truly break that vitamin down to its basic components.

Aunt Atlas Natural Medicine we use one of the top brands of Whole Foods vitamins called standard process. Using whole food vitamins when it is able to look at many different systems of the body and find out what is needed for that particular system to function better. This way You are giving the body all aspects of what it means be deficient in to help in the healing process. Many people do not realize that different organs of the body need different nutrients, for example the cardiovascular system has one knows requires different vitamins and supplements then for example the thyroid organ of the body. When can use different systems of analysis to identify which system of the body may be having the greatest nutritional deficiency and also identify what may be causing that deficiency such as toxicities, immunological compromises and often times even food sensitivities or other allergies?

If you have tried multiple other means of handling health conditions and have not had good success with that it is possible that you just may need nutritional support in addition to your other treatment. If you would like to schedule a Nutritional consultation and evaluation, please call the office at Atlas Natural Medicine at 512-352-1300 and we will be happy to assist you.
