On Friday, June 3, 2022, LaVerne Ruth (Heine) Eulenfeld went to be with the Lord at the age of 90.

Born to Clement Charles and Theresia Bachmayer Heine on Jan. 6, 1932, LaVerne was an active and beloved member of the Taylor community her entire life. Several years after graduating from Taylor High School, she married William (Bill) Corbett, with whom she had three children, Dean, Lisa and Patty. After his sudden passing, she raised them as a single mother while working in various roles at Taylor Independent School District.

On July 12, 1974, she married Bobby Eulenfeld and gained two stepdaughters, Valerie and Vanessa. Together, Bobby and LaVerne enjoyed hosting joy-filled holidays with their children, being active members of SPJST Lodge 29 and spending time with family and friends. She loved attending grandkids’ activities and cheering on their sporting events.

Throughout her life, St. Mary’s Catholic Church was a foundational piece of LaVerne’s upbringing, adulthood and faith where she was baptized, confirmed and a lifetime member. She was also a member of the Altar Society and Catholic Daughters.

In addition to her faith-filled life, LaVerne was well-known for her delicious cooking, skilled canning and expert gardening. Her green thumb cultivated not only vegetables but beautiful flowers and plants. Her family treasures the memories made around the kitchen table and the recipes she left behind. She will also be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

LaVerne is preceded in death by her first husband, William (Bill) Corbett; mother, Theresia Bachmayer Heine; father, Clement Heine; infant son, William Corbett Jr.; infant brother, Clement Heine Jr.; nephew, Lonny Rinderknecht; sister, Doris Rinderknecht; and brother-in-law, Lincoln Rinderknecht.

Her husband, Bobby Eulenfeld, survives along with son, Dean Corbett and wife, Karen, of The Woodlands; daughter, Lisa (Corbett) Peterson and husband, Brad, of Prosper; daughter, Patty (Corbett) Brinda and husband, Dan, of Coppell; step-children, Valerie Eulenfeld, of Austin, and Vanessa Eulenfeld-Reyna, of Georgetown; nine grandchildren, Ashley (Corbett) Bragg, of The Woodlands, Kayla (Peterson) Roark and husband, Jonathan, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Kara Peterson, of Prosper, Corey Brinda, of Austin, Drew Brinda, of Irving, Ryan Brinda, of Irving, Zachary Reyna, of Houston, Jordan Reyna and wife, Morgan, of Georgetown, and Averey Reyna, of Georgetown; three great-grandchildren and many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.

Viewing and visitation with the family was held at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor on Thursday, June 9, from 5 to 7 p.m. The funeral service was held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Friday, June 10, at 2 p.m. and the burial at Taylor City Cemetery will follow. The family will host a reception at 5th and Vance following the service.

Corey Brinda, Drew Brinda, Ryan Brinda, Zachary Reyna, Jordan Reyna and Jonathan Roark will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, consider a memorial in LaVerne’s name to St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Taylor or American Heart Association.
