E-EDITION SPORTS HIGHLIGHTS

SLUGGING THE SUMMER This past weekend, June 3-5, the six and under Taylor Area Softball & Baseball through Pony players played in a double elimination tournament that provided players with the opportunity to have post season play. The tournament consisted of the Thorndale Bulldogs, Taylor Ducks, Taylor Bulldozers, Taylor Legends and the Taylor Brewers.

This past weekend, June 3-5, the six and under Taylor Area Softball & Baseball through Pony players played in a double elimination tournament that provided players with the opportunity to have post season play.

The tournament consisted of the Thorndale Bulldogs, Taylor Ducks, Taylor Bulldozers, Taylor Legends and the Taylor Brewers.

The Thorndale Bulldogs and the Taylor Ducks kicked off the tournament with a nail-biting game that saw the Ducks come out on top as the victors. .

The Ducks and Bulldogs met once again in the championship game. The Ducks again came out on top with solid play from its infielders Julian Arroyo, Ivan Gonzalez, Austin Ness, Jaxon Ness and Callan Washington. The tournament’s MVPs

The tournament’s MVPs were Julian Arroyo and Ivan Gonzalez. Cameron Ness and Austin Ness were honorable mention. Arroyo led the team at first base while Cameron led the team in hitting with his solid swings.

DUCK RECEIVES FIRST D-I OFFER

Taylor Duck football player Jarvis Anderson received his first official Division 1 offer this past weekend to play football for the Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN. The Governors play in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) in the Ohio Valley Conference.
