Human resources office wins award

The Taylor municipal government’s human resources department was awarded the HR Strategic Department of the Year award from the Texas Municipal Human Resources Association (TMHRA) during the 2022 TMHRA Annual Conference in Georgetown May 11-13. The award is a new category that recognizes the outstanding contributions that an HR team has made in the past 18 months in their city and employees they serve. The award acknowledges the efforts made to enhance and further the mission, vision and values of the organization and its culture while aligning strategic HR practices and programs.

City staff congratulated HR Director LaShon Gros and HR Coordinator Chris Silva-Gonzales and said the city greatly appreciates their hard work and dedication to municipal employees.
