To start one of the most important weeks of their life, Hutto’s top students got started with the most important meal of the day.
On May 23, Hutto Independent School District announced the top 10 students of the senior class of 2022. In the morning, they were treated to a breakfast of champions.
The students, planned colleges and intended majors are as follows:
• 1. Damien Wilson, University of Texas at Austin, computer science;
• 2. Renin Kottaviruthil, Yale, electrical engineering;
• 3. Hannah Laurence, Southwestern University, biochemistry;
• 4. Eva Nguyen, University of Texas at Austin, psychology and business;
• 5. Jaxson Mercer, Texas A&M University, computer science;
• 6. Andrew Riggan, Texas A&M University, biomedical engineering;
• 7. Ryann Clapper, St. Mary’s University, psychology;
• 8. Scott Gist, Texas A&M University, architectural engineering;
• 9. Zakariah Danami, University of Texas at Austin, biology or mathematics; and
• 10. Cat Thompson, University of Texas at Austin, computer science.
Hutto High School’s graduation ceremony will be Thursday, May 26, at Hutto Memorial Stadium, 573 Chris Kelley Blvd., at 8 p.m., with gates opening at 6:30 p.m.
