Isabelle Rosipal Marek, 93, of Granger, passed away peacefully May 3, 2022. She was born June 1, 1928, to Joe and Agnes Mokry Rosipal.

Isabelle Rosipal Marek, 93, of Granger, passed away peacefully May 3, 2022. She was born June 1, 1928, to Joe and Agnes Mokry Rosipal.

She was married to Vince “Jim” Marek Aug. 31, 1948, who preceded her in death Feb. 12, 2014.

Isabelle was a hardworking and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She farmed side by side with Jim for many years, and together they built a successful farm operation.

She was a wonderful cook and loved to can her home-grown vegetables. She was well known for her delicious homemade kolaches, buchtas, homemade soups and delicious meals.

Isabelle and Jim loved going to polka dances and enjoyed being with all of their close friends and family. She was known for her hospitality and opendoor policy to everyone. Isabelle was a lifelong member of the Ss. Cyril and Methodious Catholic Church

Isabelle’s pride and joy were her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. She was happiest when all of her family were together.

Isabelle was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jim; sisters, Mary Brosch and Sally Fletcher; brothers, Richard Rosipal, Cyril Rosipal, John Rosipal and Gilbert Rosipal; brother-in-law, Sylvester Brosch; and sister-in-law, Eileen Rosipal.

She is survived by her sons, Clifton Marek and wife Janis, and Melvin Marek; grandchildren, Chad (Nikki) Marek, Shelley (Matt) McGahey, Brandon (Kasie) Marek, and Blake (Teri) Marek; great-grandchildren, Colton and Colby Marek, Madeline and Jake McGahey, Bentley and Presley Marek, and Noah and Elodie Marek.

She also leaves behind her sisters, Carolyn (Dennis) Lazek, Trudy (Hugh) Davis, and Gabrielle (Les) Miller; brothers, Herbert (Adelle) Rosipal, Paul (Claudia) Rosipal, and Joe Rosipal; in-laws, Mazie Rosipal, JoAnn Rosipal, Jim Fletcher; and close family friend Madeline Harlan.

Serving as pallbearers are Edward Brosch, Brian Miller, Joe Rosipal, Chris Rosipal, Patrick Rosipal, John Hellinger, and Tommy Rosipal.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Baylor Scott and White in Taylor for the wonderful and gracious care they provided for Isabelle and their family during this difficult time.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 11, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor, with recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. at Ss. Cyril and Methodious Catholic Church in Granger. She will then be laid to rest in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Granger.
