From the theater that brought you the musicals “South Pacific,” “Shrek: The Musical” and “Gypsy,” Milam Community Theater is next set to perform “The Wizard of Oz,” based on the classic motion picture.
Auditions for the play will be held May 1 from 2 to 7 p.m. at the C.H. Yoe High School Performing Arts Center, 1000 North Fannin Avenue in Cameron, and again May 2-3 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church Family Life Center, 208 West 2nd Street in Cameron.
Auditions are open to youth and adults of all ages. Although prior musical experience is not required, auditions should be prepared with 30 seconds to one minute of music to perform.
Performances are scheduled for July 30-31 and Aug. 6-7 at the C.H. Yoe High Performing Arts Center in Cameron.
