HUTTO – In April, Hutto ISD has held multiple ribbon cutting ceremonies to celebrate the recent completion of renovations at three campuses across the district.
The project included additions, renovations and modernizations to Hutto Elementary, Farley Middle School and Hutto Middle School.
The renovations were all a part of the 2019 bond.
The final ribbon cutting will be held Friday, April 29 from 6 to 6:30 p.m. at Hutto Elementary School, 100 Mager Lane. The project includes replacing an existing classroom wing with a new, two-story building that includes classrooms, collaborative learning spaces and expanding the media center and library.
Other improvements included:
renovated cafeteria and kitchen facilities
renovated and expanded administration, nurse, and conference areas
upgrades to classroom and library furniture and outdoor courtyards
Hutto Middle School’s ribbon cutting was held April 25, while Farley Middle School’s was held April 20.
Improvements across the two middle schools included:
modernization to the library/media center to include collaborative learning areas and breakout spaces
additions and improvements to the Fine Arts and CATE facilities that include a new band hall addition, designated dance and orchestra rooms, and modernizations and additions to the robotics and art programs
new furniture in classrooms/library and replacement of HVAC and HVAC controls
