County hosts vendor forum

The Williamson County Purchasing Department is hosting is first ever vendor forum on Wednesday, April 27. Businesses are invited to attend to learn how to do business with Williamson County.

The Williamson County Purchasing Department is hosting is first ever vendor forum on Wednesday, April 27. Businesses are invited to attend to learn how to do business with Williamson County.

The vendor forum will be held in the Williamson County Georgetown Annex, 100 Wilco Way in the Georgetown, in the Purchasing Training Room from 10 a.m. to noon. The event is free to attend. Vendors can RSVP for the event on the Purchasing website at http://www.wilco.org/purchasing.

Vendors can learn about the various county departments and the types of goods and services that are purchased. The vendor forum will cover various ways the county can make purchases including competitive bidding on the county’s Bonfire platform, smaller non-bid purchases and joining state vendor databases. It also will cover requirements under the Texas Local Government Code as it relates to purchasing and ethics standards, as well as specific Williamson County performance requirements, billing and payment policies.
