How old are you and what do you do?
I am the Sr. Director of Fulfillment and Logistics for Atmosphere.TV, an Austin based media company providing TV services for businesses.
What is your previous experience to elected or appointed office?
I was appointed to serve on President Trumps Veteran Coalition Council.
What are your community activities?
I currently volunteer with and for Boot Campaign, Wounded Warrior Project, Team RWB, Chive Charities, Thrall Middle school PTO and a few other organizations that are near and dear to our hearts.
How will this help you in the seat you are running for?
I am running on accountability and transparency, often forgotten about when we have long-term office holds. I am striving to return the pride back to our amazing little town.
What is your biggest strength?
My biggest strength is my passion and heart. I have a servant’s heart and want and feel the need to give back to my community.
What is your biggest weakness?
My biggest weakness is that I care too much, and my passion comes off as rude and misguided. I will always have the needs of my constituents first as that is who we are being elected to represent.
What sets you apart from your opponents?
Clay is an amazingly hardworking business owner and father, but that is all I know about him.
Me, I am an 18-year Navy veteran with a master’s degree in Political Science with a concentration in small and local governments. I have, and continue, to go out of my way to serve my community. I also run the most dynamic division at Atmosphere. TV, as my business continues to grow and scale in 19 countries and the United States. I am looking to get elected to assist our mayor in making the most effective and educated decisions to make our city stronger and better.
What is the biggest single problem facing the school/ city?
I believe the biggest problem that is facing our town is the forced growth that is upon us from Taylor.
Are there concerns in city/school district you feel have not been addressed?
Most of my concerns have been made public at city council meetings, Starting with the street sign compliance and safety. Liability of lack of maintenance within city limits. Lack of resources and training for the police department and the Volunteer Fire Department/ESD10 that takes care of us. But I am not here to complain I am here to take on the challenge and assist in needed change.
How would you address them?
I want to start with a topdown scrub of the budget and allocation for the above programs and resources. Identify the shortfalls and work with my counterpart and Mayor to achieve the intended results. Making the city cleaner and safer doesn’t mean that there has to be a tax increase. Use surrounding resources to better the connection and have an accountability plan for our city, we need to have better communication, so Thrall knows what’s going on.
Why are you running?
I strive to assist in the forced change and growth that is upon our town. I want to open the path of communication for businesses, and constituents regardless of where you live in Thrall. Transparency has gotten away from us, and we will get that back.
Why should people vote for you?
I believe that Thrall needs increased accountability and transparency in all actions related to the city we live in and love, I’m going to be one you can count on to be focused on what’s best for our town.
