The thyroid is involved in almost all metabolic processes of the body including cardiac function, digestive function, muscle control, brain development and bone maintenance.

Some symptoms of thyroid problems include:

• Low energy (especially waking tired after adequate hours of sleep time)

• Mood changes *Neck and arm pain or tingling

• Weight changes *Weakness in muscle tone

• Hair loss & thinning eyebrows *Brain fog

• Constipation & bloating is a major issue & may not be able to have a bowel movement for weeks.

• Heart rate abnormalities. Heart feels like it is fluttering

• Temperature regulation issues

• Dry Skin *Brittle nails *Depression / Anxiety

• Abnormal menstrual cycles

• timing is off

• PMS

• flow is heavy

• Aching muscles and joints. The symptoms move from one area of the body to a different area of the body

The Journal of Endocrinology stated in 1998 that 90% of all thyroid problems are from autoimmune disease. For instance, if your blood test shows positive for Thyroid Globulin Binding Antibodies (TGB AB) there is a good possibility that can lead to cancer. Another example of an auto immune disease is Grave’s Disease. Grave’s is hyper thyroid autoimmune disease, and it is more dangerous than Hashimoto’s, because it can cause significant heart issues. Grave’s is characterized by huge bulging eyes.

It is so important to realize that taking thyroid replacement drugs is covering up the symptoms, but they are not treating the autoimmune condition. So, ask yourself this, “My doctor is giving me medication to replace the hormone that my thyroid is underproducing because the immune system is attacking it. But what are their plans for getting my immune system to stop chewing up my thyroid until it is dead?” We have to talk about what makes this bad for your future. This is a significant problem, Hashi is a big deal because it leads to cancer, heart diseases, additional autoimmune diseases, decrease in time and quality of life. Your life span can be shortened, and it won’t be an easy ending. At our clinic we help restore your immune system to proper function.
