Dear Editor,
We have all seen fireflies and the brilliant light these insects can produce. There is marine life which can also generate light and indifferent colors.
In yoga, people seek peace, healing and tranquility and the inner light. In fact, some experience a light in their brains. It has been said that we are stardust, but to that I want to add that we are star light too. As there are a thousand points of light that also helped to create us.
The Buddist monks teach, “before enlightenment, chop wood, carry water.” After enlightenment, “chop wood, carry water.”
I wish to explain this conundrum. After enlightenment, you chop wood and carry water with a different perspective, a new understanding and less pain. And you also get more work done.
It is my understanding that the “promise land” is not a geographical location on the planet Earth, but a higher mental state. A higher consciousness. If you can attain this higher state, you will be in Heaven, paradise, the Garden of Eden or Shangri-La. You will have “enlightenment.”
And finally, what is it that gives rise to human consciousness? If it’s something, then what is it?
And, when a child asks, “Where did I come from?” it might really be asking, “Where did my consciousness come from?
THINK. KNOW And now read this letter again. Let the universal light shine through your eyes.
