Betty Lois Kaderka, 86, of Granger, gained her heavenly wings with her family beside her Jan. 4, 2022.

She was born July 6, 1935, to Louis and Lou Ella Moon in Holland.

She married her sweetheart Louis J Kaderka Sept. 24, 1949. Betty and Louis were married for 66 years until Louis’s passing in 2015.

Betty worked as a cook at the Granger Nursing Home in Granger, Will-O-Bell Nursing Home in Bartlett and the Granger Personal Care in Granger. Betty was known for her cooking, baking and wine making. Especially her pecan pies, jellies and other delicious desserts and her famous turkey and dressing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis; her par ents, Louis and Lou Ella Moon; brothers, Edrie, Alvin and Donald Moon; and sister Bonnie Melvin.

She is survived by her four sons, Donnie Kaderka and wife Vicki of Granger, Leslie Kaderka and wife Donna of Granger, Harold Kaderka and wife Carolyn of Bartlett, and Brian Kaderka and friend Brian Broddrick of Georgetown.

Her grandchildren are Keith Kaderka and Shelly of Georgetown, Amy Quebe and Joey of Taylor, Nick Kaderka and Linzy of Granger, Eric Kaderka and fiancé Magan Kaatz of Granger, Jake Kaderka and Luisa of Bartlett, Kurt Kaderka of Bartlett and Aspynn Mattice and Wesley of Jarrell.

Great grandchildren are Tillman Kaderka, Chapman Kaderka, Cameron Quebe, Will Quebe, Paisley Kaderka and Julian Kaderka. Step grandchildren are Tinslee and Shaylee Kelm.

She is also survived by brothers-in-law, James Kaderka and Evelyn of Granger and Clifton Kaderka and Erika of Taylor, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held January 22, at 2 p.m. at the Chisholm Trail Cowboy Church, 1500 Co Rd 120 in Georgetown.
