Annie Kunze, 91, passed away Jan. 9, 2022. Annie was born May 6, 1930, to Charlie and Louise (Beckhusen) Hoes at Ad Hall.
On Dec. 24, 1953, she married Willie Adolph “Bill” Kunze, and was married 37 years until Bill’s passing in 1991. Annie and Bill operated the Hoedown Club at Circleville, and Annie operated a snow cone stand and sewed for family and the public for many years.
Bill and Annie established Taylor Butane Co., Inc. in 1960 and operated it until 1976 when son Donald Kunze took over. Donald’s children now own and operate TBC.
Annie was member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Annie was preceded in death by her spouse, Bill; her parents; stepsons, Raymond and Donald Kunze; step daughter-in-law, Nancy Kunze; stepgranddaughter, Deanna Yates; step-great-grandchildren, Wesley and Chase Belcher; brothers, Herbert, Robert, Otto and Charlie Hoes; and sisters, Edna McNeese and Adline Greenwell.
Annie is survived by daughters, Patricia Cantrell (Henry) and Jackie Krueger (Harold); grandchildren Carmella Cantrell, Trey Krueger (Nicole) and Clayton Krueger; great-grandchildren Weston Hanson, Blaine and Ethan Krueger; step-daughter Carolyn Roepke (Larry); stepgrandchildren, Wayne Belcher, Kent Kunze (Missy), Stephanie Patschke (Chad), Joshua Kunze (Hannah), Grady Kunze, and Sarah Drury (Craig); along with numerous stepgreatgrandchildren and step-great-great-grandchildren.
The family would like to extend its most sincere gratitude to Franklin Park, Baylor Scott and White Hospice, and Blue Water Home Care for providing extra care. Visitation was at Condra Taylor. Services were at Trinity Lutheran Church Taylor, officiant Pastor Scott Schaller, with burial Taylor Cemetary. Pallbearers were Trey Krueger, Clayton Krueger, Weston Hanson, Kent Kunze, Joshua Kunze and Kody Kunze.
