Bybee interview Monday for Taylor Talk

The man in charge of the literal landscapes of Taylor will take questions this week. The fifth episode of the Taylor Press video interview series with city of Taylor staff will be Monday, April 11, at noon on the Taylor Press Facebook page.

The man in charge of the literal landscapes of Taylor will take questions this week.

The fifth episode of the Taylor Press video interview series with city of Taylor staff will be Monday, April 11, at noon on the Taylor Press Facebook page. Tyler Bybee, Taylor parks and recreation director, is the planned guest.

Bybee began his tenure at Taylor April 15, 2021.He is responsible for planning, managing, supervising, and implementing the activities and operations of the city’s Parks and Recreation Department. He also coordinates activities with other departments, schools, organizations, government entities, and tournament groups.

Words cannot express my gratitude and excitement for this opportunity,” said Bybee when he was hired. “I look forward to working in partnership with the community to provide a high quality of life in Taylor through the amazing parks, trails, facilities, and wide range of recreational opportunities.”

The first four episodes featured City Manager Brian LaBorde, Deputy City Manager Jeff Jenkins, Police Chief Henry Fluck and human resource director LaShon Gros. LaBorde and Jenkins talked about upcoming projects that the city will address, while Fluck talked about Taylor’s crime activity. All officials discussed possible the ways their departments connect to the community.

The show is scheduled to broadcast on the first Monday of every month at noon, with this month’s broadcast being an exception. The show complements the Taylor Press’ other live show, “Around the Watercooler,” which airs at 11:15 a.m. Thursdays and primarily covers local sports along with other topics.
