The Lady Ducks brief four game winning streak came to a screeching halt when the girls traveled to Robinson on Tuesday, Dec. 8. The girls were unable to get any big offense rolling and were taken down big 51-21.
The Lady Ducks held close in the opening quarter 12-8
In the second the Rockets took off and did not look back. Taylor only scored two points before the halftime buzzer, as the Lady Rockets took a 20-point lead into the locker room at 30-10.
The second half for the Lady Ducks also was grim. Robinson outscored Taylor 8-6, holding tight to their already big lead.
Five points in the final quarter was not enough to ease the defeat as Robinson ran away with the game scoring 13 more points to seal the game.
The Lady Ducks shot under 20% in effective field goal percentage and went 0 for 6 from long range. Robinson won the battle in nearly every category as the girls were completely outmatched and off their game plan.
Destiny Lewis led Taylor with 4 points. Lakaysha Davis led in rebounds with 8, and A’ja Lucas added 7 more.
The girls were back on the road last Friday against Bellville and will be back on home court on Dec. 15 to tangle with the Tigerettes from Thrall.
