This past weekend, August 8-10, the Taylor Lady Ducks volleyball began their season at the Stampede Showdown Tournament in Florence. Taylor welcomes new Head Coach Kate Kennedy, who comes to the school from McNeil in Round Rock, where she had been coaching for the past five years. 

Day one of the tournament saw the Lady Ducks fall to the University Lady Trojans 2-1 (23-25, 16-25, 17-25).

Friday the girls were again in action and fell in a tight contest against Round Rock Christian Academy 2-1 (25-18, 18-25, 22-25). On Saturday the Lady Ducks once again matched up with University and dropped their third match of the tournament 2-1. (26-24, 21-25, 11-25). The Lady Ducks later that afternoon did manage a win against Granger 2-0.

The Taylor Lady Ducks volleyball record stands at 1-3 and were again in action Tuesday, August 13 against Jarrell at Taylor gymnasium. They start the season off in fourth in fourth in the 4A Region IV District standings.
