The Thrall Tigerettes will be sending five athletes to the state meet scheduled for May 6-8 at the University of Texas at Austin Mike A. Meyers.

Freshman  Avery Koonce finished second in the girl’s pole vault with a height of 10 feet. Koonce has a personal best height of 11 feet and should soar as she looks bright for the Tigerettes in the future.

Melaina Grissom, also a freshman, finished regional champion in the girls triple jump with a distance of  37” 04.25.

The Tigerette 4x200 meter relay team of  Koonce, Addison Leschber, Mia Moellenberg, and Bel Herrera placed second to advance to state with a time of 1:50.08

Jacob Grissom will be the alternate in the 300-meter hurdles.

Other boys’ results for Thrall included 1600-meters-Mac Hamann 10th place 5:17.17. 110-meter hurdles Grissom 6th place 16:00. High Jump Dallas Meiske 14th place 5-04. Pole Vault Mikey Rodriguez 6th place 10-06, Max Finn 11th place 9-06.

Other Tigerette performances included Koonce 6th place in the 100-meter 12.91. Alexa Matthews 13th place in the 800-meter with a time of 2:46.95. Aaliyah Couch 4th in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 16:37. 4x100-meter team 6th place with a time of 51.52. 4x400-meter team 4th place with a time of 4:22.77. Leschber finished 8th in the discus 93-10. Isabel Hererra finished 3rd in the long jump with a distance of 17-09.50.
