For nearly 60 years, Dave Campbell’s Texas Football has been “the bible” to millions of football fans across the Lone Star State. The annual summer edition of the magazine remains a rite of passage for all Texans, previewing every football team in the state — from the rabid world of Texas high school football, through the college ranks. Over the course of six decades, the magazine remains the undisputed leader in Texas high school football. The newspaper’s copy of the magazine arrived Monday, June 24.
For the Taylor Ducks Campbell has them finishing fourth in the 14-4A Division I rankings just ahead of Burnet. New coach Robert Little enters his first season at the helm and has three offensive starters and four defensive returning this season.
Ducks on Campbells watch list include quarterback Michael Schneider, running back Jason Martinez, offensive and defensive lineman Alex Estrada, offensive lineman Josh Farley, running back Jayson Saucedo and running back Dyant’E Vincent.
Schneider will once again be on the field for the Ducks after a season-ending injury against Liberty Hill last year. The backfield for the Ducks is expected to be stacked with Martinez ,who is dangerous out of the shoot, behind Estrada and Farley.
